STUDENT INSTRUCTORS
Every year JDW Directors instruct approximately 11,000 students. Their efforts and the quality of the cotillion program are often enhanced with the assistance of Student Instructors. Typically, these individuals have participated in cotillion and have demonstrated leadership, confidence and a positive attitude.
Student Instructors are recommended and/or selected by our chairwomen, committee members or our corporate staff. They hold a valuable position within our classes to ensure every student has a partner, provide additional help with dance steps and activities, and assist with the chaperones and their responsibilities.
Our Student Instructors are role models in our Cotillion and SEE programs. They are distinguished young men and women representing and assisting with our objective that everyone should be treated with respect and courtesy – in and out of class. They receive compensation for each class they instruct as well as a letter of recommendation to be used for college applications or job opportunities.
